But after playing a few games that utilize it, I can deal with it. The build quality seems decent, d-pad could be better (not liking the d-pad).Dreamcast performance is the best I’ve seen yet on any Retro Handheld.Certainly the best performance of any Retro Handheld I own to-date. Update after Installing some Games (this is on-going and subject to change), below are some additional comments after my initial impressions above: After all, this aspect is the most anticipated! I will come back to this after the firmware update has been performed, installed some games and test the performance. So, before I get carried away with the initial impressions I’ll start with the firmware update (below). However, I did notice on Powkiddy’s blog that there is a new firmware update available (as of today).

The Touch screen and display look/operate nicely. There is no 元/R3 button combination on the sticks themselves (they don’t press down). Keep in mind, at this point I’ve not installed any games/emulators, just an initial observation. The D-pad right-direction seems to stick at times and the analog sticks are very sensitive, may take some getting used to.

There are no games pre-installed (which I respect), though with the Google Play Store that should be a cinch to fix, right? Oh wait… there is no Google Play Store on the firmware that was shipped on my unit (read below, there is a fix/update).

I appreciate any feedback, tips, what you would like to see, etc. As I learn, I will be documenting below with real-time updates. I have been awaiting this day for quite sometime and eager to learn as much as I can about it. I just recently received my Powkiddy X18S (PK X18S as it will be referred to below).

If there is more you want to see added to this guide, please comment in the above video and let me know. Above you will find a video review on this product, with details explained below. The stuff that is installed will have you scratching your head, unless you can read Chinese. Powkiddy didn’t pre-install much for us, so we need to know how to set it up ourselves to take advantage of this pretty impressive Retro Gaming handheld. My goal with this guide is to help you get the most out of your investment (or to determine if it’s worthy of it).
